Karsten started his career in 1993 at a large international consulting firm, where he worked on several digitization projects for electronic securities and derivatives exchanges. In 1996, he joined Deutsche Börse Group as Senior Project Manager, where he was responsible for several strategic initiatives in the derivatives market.
In the early 2000s, Karsten took over the foundation of a financial services provider for interbank trading of government bonds in Germany and led it for several years as sole CEO.
Since 2006, Karsten has been active as founder and managing director of a consulting company, which was acquired by Be Group in 2017 and merged into the now formed company “Be Shaping The Future” in May 2022.
